Race Starts @ 7:00 AM
This inaugural 5K event will benefit Joshua Academy Charter School in downtown Evansville, Indiana. Joshua Academy strives to provide a high-quality educational experience, which is similar to that of private school, to children who would otherwise not be able to afford such an experience.
Be a part of this PREMIER Racing Event to be held at the Evansville, Indiana Regional Airport! The First Annual 5K on the Runway will benefit the Joshua Academy Charter School in Evansville, Indiana. This exciting race will take place on the runway of the Evansville Regional Airport! Bring the entire family for this exciting event and watch airplanes take off as the sun comes up! Awards for the top male and female finishers and age group awards will be given.

Race Route
The race route will be inside the fenced area of the Evansville Regional Airport. The start finish line will be located by the Tri-State Aero complex and will use the security roads on the perimeter of the Evansville Regional Airport to loop around to the firestation and then onto the taxiways and finally a long straight down the runway. Saturday, September 3, 2011 from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.
On site - Tri-State Aero
Participants should park in the Tri-State Aero parking lot located just off of the North bound lanes of U.S. 41 on the west perimeter of the Evansville Regional Airport. There will be signage directing you into the start/finish area and registration tables. The satellite image linked in the Race Route section of this site shows the Tri-State Aero complex and the parking lot as Flight Line Drive.
Registration & Fee
Each participant of the 5K Run/Walk must complete and sign an official entry form before the race starts. Entrants may apply online here or you may download a PDF registration form and submit directly to Joshua Academy
Adults
$20 - Early Registration thru 08/01/2011 (guaranteed t-shirt)
$25 - Registration after 08/01/2011 (must register before 08/15/2011 to be guaranteed a race t-shirt)
Age 14-19 yrs
$20 - Registration thru 08/15/2011 (guaranteed t-shirt)
$20 - Registration on 08/16/2011 Race Day
Awards
All entrants registered before 08/15/11 will recieve a race shirt.
Race will be timed by The Greater Evansville Runners and Walkers Club (GERWC)
